Alumni / Mentors
How about:
Returning to campus as your company’s representative?
Many UND Alumni return to campus and represent their company
at our Career Fair’s and for on-campus interviewing. These
are perfect opportunities for you visit with UND graduates
and interested co-op students. By attending our Career
Fair’s, you can share your experiences and pass on important
information about your company’s employment process. For many
students, this may be the first time they have experienced
a discussion about career or internship opportunities. By
returning to campus for on-campus
interviews, you can screen our best candidates for your
positions. Contact
us for any special arrangements – we look forward to your
return!
Hiring a Co-op or Intern?
Perhaps you are in a position that has more ‘to do’ and not
enough ’time’ to do it. Often this is a prefect time to consider
adding a student to your organization. Our students seek opportunities
to ‘test’ their skills with ‘real world’ experiences. Working
with Career Services will help you find the right student,
and help the student gain academic credit for the pre-professional
work experience. Maybe you were a co-op or intern as a student
and know the value of such an experience. We encourage you
to consider the co-op/intern options. To get started, download
this
brochure and
register with us.
Creating an account with us?
We offer Alumni a free account in our Career Connect system.
By creating a student account with us, you have the same access
as our current students have; i.e. Search our database for
jobs, download your resume, and on-campus interviewing. Please
notify us so
we can create your account. After your account is established,
get started by entering your Username (NAID) and assigned
password at
Career Connect and completing your account. Please select
a new password!
Becoming a Mentor?
As Alumni of UND you have first hand knowledge of how to get
started in a career. Maybe you just graduated and have all
sorts of helpful hints to pass on to students. Maybe you are
retired and have a lifetime of experiences that current student
need to know. Regardless, your experiences are invaluable
for current UND students to ‘get started’ in building a career.
To enable you to stay involved with UND students, we invite
you to become a Mentor. Please contact the UND
Alumni Association with your interest in "getting
invloved" as a Mentor to our current students. As a Mentor,
you help students through a very time consuming and often
difficult process.
